STEAMe and STEAMi Awarded Farm to School Grant

Exciting news, Nettleton community! STEAM Elementary and STEAM Intermediate have been awarded the Patrick Leahy Farm to School Grant, valued at $44,115, to expand their school gardens. Both schools already operate gardens and are starting to incorporate garden-grown food into school meals and snacks. This funding will help increase the variety and quantity of foods Nettleton Public Schools can grow and serve. The grant will be used to construct greenhouses, purchase essential supplies, maintain STEAM Intermediate’s hydroponics stations, and provide a stipend for a Summer Farm Camp teacher. We can't wait to see this project 'bloom'!
